Here is a simple and attractive art work that can be completed in 15 minutes! It adds the “macrame style” without all the time learning the technique. Win Win!!!! (though I still think it would be fun to learn macrame sometime!)

Things you will need:
-Yarn
-Dowel rod or stick (about 15 inches long)
-Metal ring (optional)

Now take your yarn and wrap in around your hand and arm about ten times as shown above. The amount of wraps may vary depending on thickness of yarn.

Lay the large loop you have just completed under the rod. Bring the top half through the bottom half and pull till snug. See below.
1 2 3
Repeat above instructions until rod is full. Mine was about ten yarn sections.

With a separate length of yarn attach ring as shown above.

Now cut across the bottom of all the loops.
Then trim. You can cut it in a v like mine or just leave it straight across. Have fun and enjoy your new wall art!
