Year in Review

Looking back over the past year, I can see the mighty hand of God in my life. There have been a lot of amazing, exciting things as well as hard, discouraging times. I think the time of life I am in is probably the most fun and the most difficult. (I’m sure someone here could argue with me!) One of the greatest blessings in 2021 has been friendships. I’ve had opportunities to make new friends and spend time with so many great people in my life. Whether it was volleyball games, traveling, youth, or family stuff, this year was full of being with people I love.
A few highlights:
– Family vacation in Tennessee
– Trip to Montana where Kinza and I were photographers at a wedding for the first
– Youth girls Bible studies
– Working outside all summer
– Youth, church, and family camping
– Week of girls camp
– Hunting season
– Us four girls on this blog and our families spent several days in Chincoteague.
Mixed in with these things there was, of course, normal life. The blessing of my Christian family and a peaceful home is something I take for granted way too often. I’ve been so blessed!
Happy New Year to you all!

2021. What can I say? It has been a hard year, but also one of the best years of my life! As I was contemplating this blog post, I was scrolling through my camera roll from last year, and I almost went crazy trying to pick just a few pictures to use.

A few major things from 2021:
– I went to Bible school. That experience was priceless!
– A family vacation to Tenessee in the spring and Montana in the summer. My family is so incredibly important to me! I don’t realize how much I need them until I leave!
– I am tremendously thankful for good jobs. I love each one of my jobs, the people I work with, and I feel so privileged to have good places to work.
– We hosted Ukrainian orphans on two different occasions. I am very grateful for the experiences. During those weeks I smiled in pure joy and cried in despair. Through hosting, I have had to step back and evaluate my personality, the way I view myself, and my relationship with God.
– Taking on the position of counselor for 10 teen girls at a week-long summer camp.
– My trip to Jordan! Going to the Middle East has been a dream of mine for a long, long time. I’m so fortunate to have been given that opportunity.
– Tuesday nights and all the children that come to church. I love my class of little girls and have hope for their future.
– I went skydiving, and let me tell you, that was awesome!! Go do it!

Ok, I could say a lot more, but I guess I’d better wrap this up! I am eternally grateful to God, my family, my friends, and everyone else who encourages me. My prayer for this next year is that I would take whatever comes my way, and use it to honor God and become a better person. -Kinza

Two Thousand Twenty One was a tough year for me. I struggled with some health issues too which didn’t help the matters! But you know, it’s those tough and challenging times that help us to see and feel God deeper. -Things look impossible, but with God all things are possible-. One of the biggest changes that happened in my life this year was my family building a house and moving. It was really neat to see the new house come together and all the people that were involved. I too have been blessed by all the friendships and relationships that have boosted me through this year! Some of the highlights:

Buying a mini red Poodle puppy {Theo} He’s the cutest!

Helping out our thrift store {it’s the best thrift store out there!}

Going to my first ABC Seminar

Helping out at our new house {Cleaning, CLEANING, painting, packing and shopping for all the details of a new house.}

Shopping at Lowes

Chincoteague Island with my family and friends!

Moving in October

Buying a different camera

May God’s peace and rest be with each of you ladies as you continue to pursue God. Don’t give up, its worth the fight! Happy 2022- Damarus

Well as I think all of us are saying, this year has definitely had hard things. But I think it has also been a year of growth too! Here are a few of my favorites from the year and a hard:

Favorites:

Being in a ladies group. It was a first for me, but so good! Just the sharing and encouragement of each of the special ladies; I treasure their friendships!

Helping design the new house!

Deepening relationships with people.

All the fun photo shoots! I get so excited about them!

Helping in a cousins wedding.

CHINCOTEAGUE!!!

A hard thing this year was moving. This was challenging because it signified a big change in the life that I called normal. But God has been with us and we made it through! May we all grow and blossom in this next year! -Daisy
