I am having fun making stove top potpourri this year! It not only smells good but it looks pretty too! Potpourri is also a fun, not so common gift. If you are using it as a gift then you will want to use all dried ingredients. Fresh ingredients are perfect for using at home. This is what I put in the potpourri pictured above:
~Dried Oranges
~Dried Apples
~Cinnamon Sticks
~Whole Clove
~Fresh Pine
~Other ideas are Cranberries, Whole Allspice, Dried Rosemary, Bay Leaves and any other citrus like Limes, Grapefruits and Lemons. Be creative!
Add your desired ingredients to a small pan. There are not set amounts to add of each thing. Fill with water and let simmer as long as you desire. I have heard you can use a batch for over a day! Add more water as needed and enjoy a festive smelling house! Let us all remember to shine Jesus this wonderful season!

Love it! This would be a great alternative to scented candles and wax warmers (we’ve always had both around, but I have a friend who has not hesitated to remind me of the chemical content of most scented products 😉 ).
